PLUTO DEFEATS HUGHES ON POINTS. AUCKLAND, July 6. A professional eatchweight boxing contest between Cyril Pluto, of Australia, and Archie Hughes, of Auckland, was won by Pluto on points at the end of fifteen three-minute rounds. Considering he was giving away so much weight, scaling 9st. slbs against Pluto’s lOst. 3|lbs., Hughes gave a very creditable showing.—(P.A.)
