SIR SAMUEL HOARE.
FULLY RESTORED TO HEALTH. ANOTHER MINISTERIAL PORT TO BE FILLED. Jfr ' l ' l ' RUGBY, June «. The of Lord Monsell’s resignation'and of Sir Samuel Hoare’s appointment to succeed him as First Lord of the Admiralty was generally expected by the newspapers. Another Ministerial vacancy which has still to be filled is that of the First Commissioner of Works, rendered vacant through the appointment of Mr. Ormsby-Gore as Colonial Secretary in succession to Mr. J. H. Thomas. Sir Samuel Hoare was in ill health when he resigned the Foreign Secretaryship in December, but he is now fully recovered.
