ANNUAL CONCERT.
WAIRARAPA HIGH SCHOOL. Those who have previously enjoyed the bright and varied items presented by the pupils at Wairarapa High School concerts will be pleased to learn Of the concert to be held in the Parish Hall on Wednesday and Thursday, June IT and 18 at 8 p.m. It is expected that the excellent standard of previous years will be reached by this year’s singers and actors, who have been practising industriously for some weeks. The play to be presented is a very amusing dip into the future, entitled' “Tails Up,” a comedy which is quite new to Masterton audiences. This play is in the capable hands of Mr. H. R. ‘Thomson as producer and the staging should be very interesting. The first portion of the programme kill consist of singing, dancing and elocutionary and instrumental items. Specially selected choirs have for siome weeks been working with Miss O. R. Sutherland and Mr. H. B. Massey, and a group of four-part songs will be presented by these boys and girls.
The concert is in aid of the Gymnasium Fund, a very worthy object as all pupils and ex-pupils know. All who saw the lively and amusing work of the Wairarapa High Stehool pupils in connection with the recent procession and fair should make a point of attending at the Parish Hall next weekPrices are very moderate and tickets are obtainable from pupils. The box plan will open at the Arts and Crafts on Friday and patrons would be well advised to book seats.
