HARRIER ACTIVITIES.

MASTERTON CLUB OPEN HANDICAP. WON BY G. KEMPTON. About 25 members of the Masterton Harrier Club took part in a 6| mile open handicap run on Saturday afternoon. The limit man, H. Adcock, was sent away 7 minutes before the scratch man, C. Talbot, and he kept his lead until about two miles from home. J. Loehore, off the 5 minute mark, ran a great raee, but he was unable to hold off G. Kempton and C. Talbot, who caught him in the last half mile. G. Kempton, off 3 minutes, ran an exceptionally good raee to be first man home but Talbot was not far behind. J. Warham, one of this year's juniors, ran a good raee to finish sixth. The following gained points for the Shaw Rose Bowl:—G. Kempton, 12; C. Talbot, 11; J. Loehore, 10; L. Hack, 9; E. Creswell, 8; J. Warham, 7; R. Shaw, 6; S. Hatch, 5; J. Baikie, 4; R. Warham, 3; V.
