Mr. Lowe, British Consul, was warned by telegram to meet the train and take charge of the bag, but the bag was not forthcoming when the train arrived and has not been seen since. The Italians at Diredawa arrested Mr. Bonner, a warrant officer attached to the British ambulance unit in Abyssinia, while he was en route for Aden to undergo treatment for rabies. Although the Italians are not yet recruiting adult Abyssinians, they have already started to enrol Abyssinian youths in a newly-fhunded organisation named the “ Abyssinia of the Lie tor. ” The uniform consists of a white cap, khaki shirt and shorts- and green neck scarf. The training includes military instruction.
