IMPERIAL DEFENCE.
CONTRIBUTION BY FIJI. (Received Wednesday, 5.5 p.m.) SUVA, February 12. The Fiji Legislative Council in November voted an annual , grant of £5OOO sterling towards imperial defence. The “Fiji Times,” in an editorial, suggests a special grant from surplus funds of £lO,OOO in view of the present circumstances of the Empire. It is believed that the proposal will meet with the approval of elected members.
