DR. CUNNINGHAM REINSTATED. STATEMENT BY MINISTER. CHRISTCHURCH, January 20. “Dr. G. H. Cunningham, who recently resigned his position in charge of the Plant Research Station at Palmerston North will continue his services at the station,” said the Hon. D. G. Sullivan to-day. Mr. Sullivan saidt he Government had been impressed with the increasing need for attention to scientific research in problems of the protection of plants from disease, and in addition, to improvements to facilities at the Plant Research Station, PWmerston North. Arrangements had been made, he said, for the continuance of Dr. Cunningham’s services.—(P.A.)
