EKETAHUNA SALE.

WAN & MERCANTILE COY. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:—At the usual weekly sale held at Eketahuna yesterday we submitted a small yarding of sheep and a large entry of dairy cattle to the usual attendance of the public. Prices for better sorts of cows and heifers were in advance of those ruling last week, while values for inferior classes remained about the same. Weaner pigs, of which there was a fair entry, were in demand and realised very satisfactory prices. We quote as follows:— * Sheep: E*we hoggets, 19/6; wether hoggets, 16/; cull do., 10/9. Cattle: Best cows, £4/5/ to £2/17/6; best heifers on drop, £5/5/, £4, £4/17/6 to £3/5/; store cows, 26/. Pigs: Weaners, 23/, 22/, 18/6 to 14/; slips, 17/ to 15/.
