MASTERTON SALE.
F.C.D. COMPANY, LTD. The New Zealand Harmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report having held their weekly sale yesterday when they yarded 8,451 sheep and lambs to a very large attendance. The sale was the best they have held for some considerable time. All classes of breeding ewes were in keen demand and sold well above vendors’ expectations. Lambs were also in keen demand, while good fat ewes sold well above recent rates. Their top price for 5-year ewes was 23/6 sold on account of Mr. L. P. Larsen of Mauriceville. They had a 'total clearance and the following will give an indication of values received: —

Lambs: Good b.f. lambs, 16/, 16/6 to 17/6; medium do., 13/ to 14/6; small do., 9/ to 11/; woolly wether lambs, .13/ to 14/9. Fat sheep: Prime heavy ewes, 18/, 19/ to 20/; unfinished ewes, 13/, 14/ to 14/6; heavy fat wethers, 25/ to 27/; lighter do., 22/ to 23/.
