CLEARING SALE.
The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report having held a very successful clearing sale of dairy cows, implements, horses, etc., on account of A. P. Ralph; at Mangamaire. The cows, which were in rather low condition, sold well making up to £6 5/-. The herd of 39, including 10 empty cows which had been milking through the winter, averaged over £3 per head. Yearling heifers made 25/-; 2-year do., £2/10/-; Jersey bull £5/5/-; draught mares £4O and £lO. Implements: Drill, £2l/10/-; s.f. plough, £9; mower, £l4/10/-; hay rake £ll/10/-; roller £10; harrows, £3; tripod harrow, £3/10/-.
