MORE RIGID CONTROL

Telegraph.—“ The Age” Special); WELLINGTON, July 18. After April, the sale of poisons in New Zealand will be rigidly controlled under the .terms of the Poisons Bill introduced into the House of Representatives, in charge of the Minister of Public Health. The most dangerous poisons will be sold only by chemiste, but there will be a storekeepers’ licence permitting the retailing of insecticides, sheep dips, weed killers and similar preparations and an extended storekeepers’ licence enabling a wider range of poisons to be sold, though if any chemist establishes himself within the extended licence will be withdrawn on six months' notice.
