APPEAL BY COMPANY FAILS.

The Appeal Court dismissed with costs the appeal of the Metro-GoldWyn-Mayer Film Company against the decision awarding the Princess Irina Alexandrovna £25,000 damages for libel in respect of the film “Rasputin and the Empress.” The Court granted a stay of execution pending appeal to the House of Lords, providing a further sum of £5OOO is paid to Princess Youssoupoff.
