Messrs. Wright, Stephenson -& Co., Ltd., report having held a particularly successful dispersal sale of pedigree Jerseys on account of Mr. A. N. McGregor, Gladstone, Masterton, yesterday. Despite extreme wintry conditions there was a large attendance, and' bidding was brisk right through, the . 60 head being disposed of inside a couple of hours. At one stage, snow fell so thickly that a halt had to be called. Mr. McGregor had all of his stock in excellent order, and although there were no high C.O.R. records to support the cattle, which had been tested on high country, under purely natural conditions, an average exceeding £lO was realised for the stud, including both the bull and heifer calves. Prices were well above the average of 1 sales held earlier in the. winter.
