| LADIES’ GUILD MEETING.
: The Methodist Ladies ’ Guild met yee--terday afternoon at the Parsonage, Mrs. G. F. Stockwell presiding. Considering. the inclement weather -there was a remankably good attendance. Apologies for absence were received from many of the members, some of whom are suffering from influenza. A special message of sympathy was sent to M» Neilson who at present is in hospital, expressing the best wishes of the meeting for a speedy recovery. •Arrangements were completed for,, a congregational social to be held. in Wesley Hall on Tuesday next, July 24, at 7.30 p.m. A delightful afternoon tea, was dispensed -by the hostesses, Mesdames Wilden and W. H. Judd and a, choice programme of music was ss-rang-ed Iby Miss Ivie Donald, the following items being much enjoyed: * < T.if« , « Epitome” and “Ships that Pa» ia Night,” trios; “I would -be True,” and //to®? Hiver, ” by the Misses Ivie and; Elsie Donald and Mrs. Dunce#; solo. “Like to a Damask Rose,” Mis* Evelyn Jones; solos, “The Clock” and! “You’ve got Your Mother’s Eyes,” Miss Joyce Orr. Thanks to the artiste and hostesses, and the Benediction A Draught to a close a very enjoyable and ▼ profitable afternoon. The Missionary ’ Girt Afternoon was arranged for Thursday week at the Parsonage,
