CENTENARY AIR RACE.
TWO AVIATORS SURVEYING THE ROUTE. PREPARING FOR THE CONTEST. (Received Friday, 7 p.m.) DABWIN, April <5. The airmen, Rubins and Waller, left Koepahg this morning and arrived" at Darwin at 12.23 p.m. They are remaining about ten days in Australia, returning by the same route after visiting Sydney and Melbourne. Their object is to survey a route lor the centenary race, as Rubins intends flying a new type of Comet machine. Their present machine, a Leopard Moth, has an enclosed cabin. Rubins is Australianborn and served with the Imperial forces. Waller is a native of Kent.
