Fierce rioting as a result of a strike called as a protest against police violence paralysed Bilbao, Spain’s most important port. Four were wounded. The police also charged a workers’ demonstration at Grona. A dance hall in San Sebastian, was bombed and the windows were smashed. Thirty thousand workers in Madrid struck.
