COUNTY WORK.

SEVERAL TENDERS ACCEPTED. A aumber of tenders were accepted by the Masterton County Council at its Finance Committee meeting yesterday morning. The tender of Messrs. Selby and Nunn was accepted for the construction of a reinforced concrete culvert and the' extension of two culverts on the Mount Bruce Hall-Ruamahanga section of the Wellington-Napier Main Highway. The culverts are part of the preparation of the section for future tar sealing. The tender of Messrs. Jenkins Bros, was accepted for the construction of the Kopuaranga Stream bridge, which is being erected by arrangement with two settlers in the district The tender of M. Kerins was accepter! for the metalling of the Homewood and Waironga roads. The tender of A. E. Freeman was aceeptfor the erection of a blacksmith’s shop at Te Ore Ore.
