BOWLING CONTROL.

MEETING OF WAIRAEAPA CHNTBE. CHAMPION RINK GAMES. A meeting of delegates of the Wairarapa Bowling Centre was held at Carterton on Tuesday evening, when the balanee sheet in connection with the recent New Year tournament, showing a small debit, was presented. The result was considered satisfactory, and the balance sheet was adopted. Appreciation of the services of the secretary to the tournament (Mr. C. H. Barber) was recorded and he was granted a bonus.

It was decided that the champion rink games be played on the Featherston green on Saturday next. Recommendations were submitted to be brought forward at the annual meeting in connection with every club finding the champion rink by play, and elimination, and not to be chosen by the clnb’s match committee. Also that the champion singles and pairs games next year be commenced at one o’clock instead of nine o’clock as at present.

The Masterton and Park clubs v. South Wairarapa competition is to be arranged on a Saturday after Easter, if weather permits. The Masterton and Park clubs were thanked for successfully organising the Greytown Club’s annual tournament on the Mastertoii Club’s greens.
