MASTEBTON MUTUAL WORKERS.’ DIRECTORS MEETING. A meeting of the Masterton Workers’ No. 2 Mutual * Benefit Building Society was held last night, Mr. B. Krahagen, chairman of directors, presiding. Others present were: A. L. Bennett, A. J. Briden, A. H. Eddy, J. C. Ewington, G. Hyde, A. W. McKenzie, J. A. Russell and A. P. Smith. The Treasurer's report showed a credit balance of £1505 18s Id and liabilities amounting to £l2OO. A shareholder advised that she would not be taking up the appropriation purchased by her until the end of July. The appropriation amounted to £4OO with a £7O bonus. A firm of solicitors wrote stating that they-had completed two mortgages to the society, securing £2OO and £452 respectively. The Valuation Committee recommended the security offered by a shareholder as sufficient for an advance of £452. The recommendation was adopted. The security offered by another shareholder for an advance of £4OO was also approved. A shareholder was granted permission to have the subscriptions paid on two shares applied to the redemption account. It was decided to hold a ballot and sale for £BOO early in April. B. GROUP. At a meeting of the B. Group the Treasurer reported a credit balance of £6O 15s Id with liabilities at £l6 14s. A firm of solicitors advised the completion of a mortgage to the society securing an advance of £BOO.
