LOW WATER PRESSURE.
RESTBICnONS TO BE STRICTLY I ENFORCED. The attention of Masterton resident* is again drawn to tho hoeing restrictions that have boon in force for the past month. Tho Borough Engineer, Mr. C. R. Mabson, states that the restrictions, whieh permit of hosing only between tho hours of 6 a.m. and 8 p.m., are not being strictly complied with. Consequently, tho town water pressure is very low at times. A recorder at the Fire Station on Saturday showed the pressure to be as low as 22 pounds, while during the winter months the normal pressure is from 65 to 70 pounds. The Lansdowne reservoir was bone-dry on Saturday afternoon and in order to fill it again it was found necessary to cut off tho branch mains to the town. Tho restrictions apply to all users, whether metered or not, and will be strictly enforced.
