OBITUARY.

MB. J. JUDD.

Deep regret will be felt by a wide circle of friends throughout the Wairarapa at the death of Mr Jahn Judd,, of High Street, Masterton, who passed away rather suddenly on Saturday morning. The late Mr Judd, whose death followed upon a heart seizure,, was a son of the late Mr and l Mrs John Judd, very old and well-known, residents of the Wairarapa, particularly the Greytown district. He was born at the Hutt in 1857 and had farmed a property at Solway, Manaia, for over fifty years. He was one of the oldest members of the Masonic Lodge No. 19, a member of the Masterton A. and P. Association and Masterton Racing Club, and was at one time a member of the Masterton County Council. The late Mr Judd always took a very active part in any project for the betterment of the town and his death will' be a loss to the district. He is survived by a widow, one son, Mr. John Judd, of Masterton, and two daughters, Mrs. A. E. Reid, Carrington, and Miss M. Judd, Masterton, who will have the sympathy of a wide circle of friends in their sad bereavement. The brothers of deceased are Messrs. Robert Judd, Joseph Judd, James Judd, Harry Judd and Frank Judd, and the sisters Mrs B. Brunton, Mrs W. Udy, Mrs W. S. Dickens, Mrs C. Rogers and Mrs F. W. Wood. The funeral will take place this afternoon, leaving the residence, High Street, at 2 pm. for the Masterton Cemetery. MB. ANDES LABSEN. The many friends of Mr Andes Larsen will regret to learn of his death which occurred at Palmerston North yesterday. The late Mr. Larsen was for many years a well-known* and highly respected settler of the Mauriceville West district. He left Mauriceville about 15 years ago to take up land at Omaha, North Auckland. During his residence at Mauriceville West the late Mr Larsen followed agricultural pursuits and also conducted a successful butchery business. He took a keen and active part in all local body affairs and his genial personality will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His widow, who is the youngest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Mathais Jensen, of MauHeeville West will have the sympathy of a wide circle of friends in her sad bereavement. Mr Arthur Larsen, of Rangitumau, is a brother. The funeral will take place at the Lutheran Cemetery, Mauriceville at noon tomorrow.
