MOTOR CYCLIST KILLED IN AUCKLAND.

CRASH INTO TRAM AND POLE.

AUCKLAND, July 5. Fatal head injuries, including a fracture of the base of the skull, were received by Ivor Courtney Hobday, aged 20. when a motor cycle he was riding collided with a tramcar in Remuera Road early this evening. After colliding with the tram, the cycle swerved to the edge of the footpath, crashing into a telegraph pole. Hobday died shortly after his admission to the Auckland Hospital. He was employed by the Bank of New Zealand and resided in Victoria Avenue, Remuera.— (P.A.)
