“THE GREAT ADVENTURE.”
READING BY MEMBERS OF W.E.A. CIRCLE. Pleasant entertainment was provided in the Savage Club Rooms last evening when Arnold Bennett’s play, “The Great Adventure” was read by members of the W.E.A. Play Reading Circlet There was a good attendance. Members of the cast took their parts very well and the reading proved most enjoyable. The cast was as follows:— Janet Cannot, Miss E. Bate; Miss Honoris Looe, Miss G. Aplin; Mrs. Albert Shawn, Miss McGrath; Albert Shawn, Mr. Engstrom; Ham Carve, Mr .J. Kennedy; Dr. Pascoe, Mr. G. Bate; Edward Horning (his assistant), Mr. D. Bate; Cyrus Carve, Mr. S. J. Smith; Father Looe, Mr. V. Joseph; Peter Horning (a reporter), Mr. Engstrom; Ebag, Mr. B. Venner; John Shawn, Mr. 8. J. Smith; James Shawn, Mr. Venner; Lord Leonard Alcar, Mr. D. Bate; Texcl, Mr. M. G. Mackay.
