GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP.

LONG COURSE. AT SANDWICH TO BE USED. LONDON, May 16. Only eight Americans, including the holder, Armour, are among the 252 entrants for the open golf championship. There are fourteen other foreign entries, representing France, South America, Japan, Jersey and the Malay States. The championship for the first time is being decided on the Prince’s course at Sandwich, 7606 yards, the longest ever used for a championship. The bogey is 70.
