THE REGENT.

“MOTHER’S MILLIONS” FINALLY TO-NIGHT. “Mother’s Millions,” is to be shown finally at the Regent Theatre, to-night. Reserves at Vare’s, ’phone 1333. COMING TO-MORROW. “THE HONOUR OF THE FAMILY” “The Honour of the Family,” which heads the new programme to be presented at the Regent Theatre this evening is announced as an unusual picture play. It is based on a story by the great French novelist Balzac. Presenting some startlingly interesting characters, it succeeds in being melodrama, comedy and romance at the same time. Miss Bebe Daniels is seen in the tantalizing sort of role which first won her screen fame. She plays the part of Laura, a delightfully aggravating young lady, who acts as companion and nurse to the rich old Hungarian noble, Paul Barony. Laura is his delight and despair and succeeds in keeping from him her affair with her lover Tony, a youth too poor to be considered as a husband. The ancient Paul is about to ask Laura to be his wife—when the tranquility of the dark old castle is disturbed by the arrival of Captain Boris Barony—dashing, heel-clicking, sword-clashing, ladykilling nephew of old Paul. He fights deadly duels with Tony and others of Laura’s admirers—gets uncle to change his mind about marrying Laura and ends by falling head over heels in love with her himself. All of which gives but the barest idea of a play that literally blazes with life. Warren William, famous on the Broadway stage plays the part of young Boris with vigorous charm. The ancient uncle is portrayed with unction by Alan Mowbray. “Honour of the Family,” brought up to the minute in setting and outward semblance still holds the compelling humanity which makes it as vital as when it was written. Seats may be reserved at Vare’s, ’phone 1333. On Saturday, “Mata J-iari,” with Greta Garbo in the title role, is to be shown at the Regent.
