THE WAITANGI GIFT.

TEACHERS ACKNOWLEDGE GENEROSITY. At its annual meeting, held in Wellington last week, the New Zealand Educational Institute passed the following resolution in acknowledgment of the valuable gift made to the nation by Lord and Lady Bledisloe:—“On behalf of the primary school teachers of the Dominion, this annual meeting of the New Zealand Educational Institute places on record its admiration of the gift of the historic spot at the Bay of Islands by Lord and Lady Bledisloe and expresses its gratitude for the spirit that moved Their Excellencies to take such action as will quicken the imagination and stir the historic sense and patriotic feelings of our young people.”
