“NUMBERED MEN” AND “COLLEGE' LOVERS.” First National’s sensational drama of a prison riot, “Numbered Men,” ■vhich has been widely discussed since it began production at the studio, will he seen locally when it opens on Wednesday at the Opera House for two nights. Based on Dwight Tayior’s play “Jail Break,” it depicts the secret spy system of prisoners preparatory to a wholesale delivery from behind the bars, and the furious scenes of the mutiny. Conrad Nagel as a “good conduct” prisoner, Bernice Claire as the girl, and Raymond Hackett as the youth are the three featured players. Also on the same programme is “College Lovers” which is declared to be the realistic, picture of college life. Moving along on high notes of hilarity and furnishing a thrilling football game as a conclusion .“College Lovers” features Marion Nixon. Box plans open to-morrow at Vare’s.
