DETAILS OF LAST WEEK’S FLYING.
ARRIVAL OF NEW 'PLANE.
The new ’plane the Government is to len’d to the Wairarapa Aero Club is aboard the s.s. Ferndale, which was due to arrive at Lyttelton yesterday from the Old Country. The machine will be assembled at Christchurch and after undergoing tests there will be brought on to the Wairarapa in the near future. A good deal of flying has been Uone in the club’s Moth ’plane during the past week. There were 3 hours 20 minutes of dual instruction and 14 hours of solo flying and two passengers were taken aloft. On Monday last (Labour Day), Mr. A. V. Jury, who has become an extremely « ompetent pilot, made a cross-country flight to Foxton. Although the weather was far from favourable, Mr. Jury made the flight to and from Foxton (where he landed in a limited area/ without ’difficulty.
