They at least ean prepare and move for the consideration of their measures and a friendly House usually allows these efforts to get as far as the second reading stage, when the principles ean be fully discussed. Twelve private members’ Bills are on this session’s Order Paper, five of them introduced by Mr. ■ H. G. R. Mason (Auckland Suburbs), who has chosen a wide variety of subjects. as the titles indicate: Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Amendment, Rating Amendment, Local Elections and Polls Amendment, Evidence Amendment, and Insurance Agents’ Bill.
