CLEARING SALE.
The W.F.C.A. Ltd. report having conducted a clearing sale yesterday on account of the Donald MacKenzio Estate, Mangamahoe. There was a big attendance of buyers from all the surrounding districts, and one of the best sales of recent months was the result. Competition was particularly spirited for all lots of both live and dead stock, prices for both sheep and cattle being well above recent sale rates. They quote: 265 good m.a. ewes r.w. S.D. rams, 26/3; 74 mja. ewesr.w. S.D. and Romney rams, 19/3; 46 do., 18/9; 111 s.m. owes r.w. S.D. ram, 13/-; aged and low condition ewes in lamb 8/- to 9/8; medium m.s. hoggets, 14/-; small hoggets, 8/8 to 9/-; store wethers, 17/3; fat hoggets, 23/-; 20 Hereford cows r.w. Hereford bull, £7 17/6; 15 2-yr. Hereford heifers, £5 4/-; 17 m.s. Hereford weaners, £3 13/-; store cows, £2/10/-,to £3/12/-; dairy cows, to calve September, £lO 17/6 to £l/15/-; yearling dairy heifers, £2/2/6. All farm implements, tools etc. made good clearing sale rates.
