BUILDING SOCIETIES.
WORKMEN’S FRIEND No. 1.
DIRECTORS’ MEETING. The monthly meeting of the directors of the Workmen’s Friend Building Society was held last evening, Mr. A. E. Winzenberg presiding, there being also present, Messrs. T. Jenkins, F. J. Hunn, T. B. Braggins, W. H. Jackson, W. Kemp, B. E. Jones and H. J. O’Leary. The financial report was considered satisfactory. Reports of the valuation committees upon securities offered for two appropriations were approved. One new share was allotted. Mr. A. V. Dixon was appointed director to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr. A. B. Wood. No. 2 SOCIETY. The nionthly meeting of directors of the No. 2 Society was also held, the same directors being present. The reports of valuations of securities offered for two appropriations were approved. Memorandum of consent to the extension of a mortgage was submitted and it was resolved that the same be sealed. Mr. A. V. Dixon was appointed director to fill the vacancy caused by the .resignation of Mr. A. B. Wood. It was reported that money was coming in freely and another appropriation should be held shortly.
