PALESTINE PROBLEMS.
FINDINGS OF COMMISSION OF INQUIRY. GENERALLY IN FAVOUR OF ARABS. (Received Monday, 7.5 p.m.) LONDON, March 10. The “Daily News” states that it is understood that the Palestine Commission, which is shortly making its report, will recommend that a wider interpretation be given to the Balfour declaration regarding a Jewish national home. The Commission takes the view that the time is not ripe for the Zionists to assume control of Palestine. The finding probably will be ■generally in favour of the Arabs and may raise the whole question of the future of the British mandate. Mr. Snell, a Labour member, reported that he had made reservations. Otherwise the recommendations are unanimous.
