A BIG SUIT.

OWNERS OF LOST STEAMER SUED VANCOUVER, March 9. The sinking of the steamer Chief Maquilla off the Aleutians en route for the Orient six months ago had its sequel to-day in a 274,000-dollar suit by the Insurance Company of America against the Canadian and American Shipping Company and the Canadian Navigation Company. The steamer carried a half a million-dollar cargo. Plaintiffs allege that the vessel was unseaworthy with her cargo improperly loaded.. Ten other suits on the same grounds aggregate half a million dollars.
