EDUCATION ESTIMATES FOR YEAR. LONDON, March 9. The Education Estimates amount of £45,495,653, an increase of £3,809,754. The memorandum states that £2,123,754 of the interest is due to the development and normal growth of education services. The remaining £l.686,000 is attributable to changes in the financial arrangements consequent on the Local Government Act of 1929. The present cost of elementary education per child is £l3 0s 6d and the average attendance at public elementary schools 4,890,000.
