CRICKET TOUR.

VISIT OF ENGLIbH TEAM TO MASTERTON. Guarantee for match REQUIRED. The Wairarapa Cricket Association has accepted a match with the English team which will tour Australia and New Zealand’ next season. The match is set down for February 26 and 27, at Masterton. The New Zealand Cricket Council requires the sum of £125 for a match, and the local Association has in hand the matter of arranging with guarantors for that sum. Already several promises have been made and it is anticipated that the gate money and sale of tickets will easily secure any guarantors from loss. The secretary of the Association, Mr. A. E. Freeman, would be pleased to hear from any resident who is willing to assist the association to finance the match.
