JOHNSONVILLE SALE.
Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report or. the Johns nville sale field ou Wc< sday as follows: —There was a large ttendance of the public, to whom we submitted a large yarding of cattle and an average yarding of sheep. The bullocks offered were mostly very prime heavy weight cattle, and were of much better quality than last week’s yarding. A good sale resulted, with prices on a par with late nates. The yarding of sheep was of good quality throughout, with few pens of extra heavy wethers, and ewes. Competition throughout the sale was good, prices showing no alteration compared with last week’s sale. No lambs or vealers came forward. We quote: Extra heavy bullocks, £l6 to £l7; heavy bullocks, £l5 to £l5/15; medium bullocks, £l4/5 to £l4/10; extra heavy heifers, £l2/10 to £l3/10; cows. £ll to £ll/5; extra heavy wethers, 40/ to 41/6; heavy wethers, 38/6 to 39/; medium wethers, 36/3; light wethers, 30/3 to 31/9; heavy ewes, 31/ to 33/; ewes, 29/ to 30/. “
