FIRE DISASTER.
SAN FRANCISCO SUBURB SUFFERS. MANY HOUSES DESTROYED. MILLION DOLLARS LOSS. SAN FRANCISCO, July 3. Fire breaking out on Tuesday in the wealthy section of Mill City across the Golden Gate, destroyed a hundred and thirty houses, with an estimated loss of a million dollars. The fire was brought under control after midnight, but restarted from flying embers on Wednesday morning. It was fought by four thousand fire fighters. (Australian Press Association— United Service.)
