ESPERANTO SOCIAL.
ENJOYABLE GATHERING. The Mastcrton Esperanto Group held its first annual social last night, Mr G R. Sykes M.P., hon. president, presiding over a good attendance of members and their friends. The function, which, proved most successful and enjoyable, opened with the Esperanto Doxology. An entertaining programme of musical and elocutionary items was given, the principal items being songs by Mesdames Lambert and Dewar; recitation, Mrs Payne, pianoforte solos, Madaifie'Carle and Mr W. E. Knott, and an item by Mr. Pavlinavieh. During the evening a presentation of an Esperanto Star was made to Mr G. R. Sykes M.P. by Miss Evelyn Johns, the youngest meml»er of the group. *
