BRITISH SCHOONER SUNK.
SUSPECTED CONTRABAND CARRIER. FIGHT WITH AMERICAN COASTGUARD. (Received Sunday, 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, March 22. News from New Orleans states that the British auxiliary schooner Malone, a suspected contraband carrier, was sunk off the coast in a battle with coastguard craft.
