THE BOAT RACE.

CAMBRIDGE WINS BY SEVEN LENGTHS. DAY OF GLORIOUS SUNSHINE. (Received Sunday, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, March 23. Cambridge won the boat race by seven lengths. Glorious sunshine brought record crowds to the towpaths, thousands taking up their positions before breakfast and eating this meal in picnic fashion. The water was so smooth that it afforded little advantage of the crew winning the toss. Both crews were fit and confident. Time, IShnin 25sec.—(Australian Press Association.—United Service.)
