CARTERTON SALE The New Zealand Farmers’ Co-oper-ative Co., - .1., report as follows: We had a good yarding of sheep', which came forward to a good attendance of buyers. Competition at. auction wa keen; every pen being sold as fellows: Fat wethers, 42s 3d; fat and fciward eweS, 28s 7d; forward owes, 24s 3d to 27s 2d; woolly hoggets, 27s to 28s; cull hoggets, 235; ewe hoggets, 31s> lOd; ewes in lamb, 325.. The W.F.C.A. Ltd., report on the Carterton sale: We offered a good entry of dairy cattle and pigs and two small pens of sheep. Competition was keen for all lots, and a total clearance was effected by auction. Some choice sorts- of dairy cows close to profit met with keen competition. We report: Account 'Messrs Dyer and McGinnis, 4 cows near profit, £l.l 10s, £l3, £l6 10s and £l6 15s. Account H. Milne, Morison’s Bush, 8 cows 1 (springing;, £8 15s, £9, £lo' 10s, £ll/ £li ss, £ll 10s to £l2 ss; 3 do in milk, £5 7s 6d, £5 15s to £6. Account S. Matthews, 6 dairy cows, £5 15s, £7 7s 6d, £7 10s, £7 15s to £9. Account other vendors, 2 springing heifers, £7 10s to £8 ss; 1 fat heifer, £6 7s 6d; fat cows, £6 10s to £7 ss; 4 weaner heifers, £4; 15 woolly hoggets, 28s 6d; 14 b.f. do, 27s 1 ; 26 weaner pigs (in lots), 15s 6d, 17s, 17a 6d, l9s, 20s, 21s, 21s 6d to 235. A quantity of fowls and sundries sold at late rates.
