BUTTER PRODUCTION.
MAURICEVILLE DAIRY COMPANY PROSPECTS FOR NEXT SEASON A meeting of directors of the .Ijfauriceville Dairy Company was held the office this week, Mr. V. K. Lemberg presiding. The financial reports were satisfactory and the balance sheet is being prepared. It was expected that V e final pay-out would be very satisfactory to suppliers. The pay-out for July supplies was decided on at Is 6d. Arrangements are being made with the Railways Department to provide shade at stations for cream supplies in transit.
It was decided to establish a daily service for the transport of cream dur ing the hot weather, from all sources. The electric-can washer ordered last month is now being installed and will bo operating very shortly, assuring suppliers of absolute cleanliness ir their cans.
Contracts for the transport of cream for next season were completed e®. satisfactory terms to the company.
A report on visits to the various districts from which supplies are drawn assured the company of another successful season, there being a decided increase in the size of herd's and; the number of new suppliers.
