COMPENSATION CLAIMS.

SEQUEL TO ROAD COLLISION. WELLINGTON, June 6. A case was commenced in the Supreme Court to-day, before Mr. Justice Sim, when Norman Parata and Percy John Alridge, former Public Works employees, each claimed from Albert Goodman, a horse trainer, of Upper Hutt, £l5OO as damages in respect of a collision between tho motor cycle they were riding and a motor car driven by Goodman on the main road' at Upper Hutt in September last. As a result of the accident, each of the plaintiffs lost a leg. Plaintiffs alleged negligence on Goodman’s part. Goodman denied the allegation and in his turn alleged negligence against the plaintiffs. Evidence for plaintiffs will be continued to-morrow.—(P.A.)
