AN AFRICAN FLIGHT.
COBHAM AT LAS PALMAS. (Received Wednesday, 7.15 p.m.) LAS PALMAS, May 23. Sir Alan Cobham has arrived, and proceeds to Casablanca on Thursday. He described his party as tired, dirty and hungry, but otherwise fit. They encountered strong head winds from Port Etienne, where they spent Monday iiight at a local fort behind barbed wire fences as a protection against marauding tribesmen.—(Australian Press Association.)
