HARRIERS’ BALL.

AN OUTSTANDING SUCCESS. An animated and gay scene was presented in the Masterton Municipal Hall last night on the occasion of the annual ball of the Masterton Harrier Club. The hall was tastefully decorated in black and white, the colours of the club, the main decorative scheme taking the form of a gigantic spider’s web suspended from the ceiling. Greenery was placed at intervals around the hall, and a number of shields of various designs, embodying the club’s colours and monogram, gave additional interest to the scheme. Mills’ Orchestra was located on the stage, which was artistically decorated with foliage. Mr H. Henderson was responsible for the decorative scheme, members of the club assisting in its erection. a This annual event of the Harriers’ Club was quite in keeping with the ex- ' cellent standard associated with similar functions in the past, and proceedings from the start went with a swing.
