DEADLY SHELLS.

FIVE FATALITIES IN FRANCE , m < PARIS, April 4. Five people were killed by explosions Of shells picked up on tho battlefields to-day. Workmen picked up a shell and tried to take out the fuse. The explosion killed the man and his son, and a third man had his ! foot blown off. He attempted to stop the flow of blood but was dead before help came. Elsewhere two brothers, found a shell near (Amiens and took out the fuse. The explosion blew both to pieces, and portions of tho bodies were found half a mile away.-(Australian Press Asroeiation).
