Fat sheep.—A small yarding of nine races, and a fair sale. Wethers showed little change on last week, but ewes which comprised the major part of the entry, were easier. Extra prime wethers made’to 40s, prime wethers 32s to 34s 6d, medium wethers 26s 6d to 31s 61, light wethers 25s to 28s; extra prime ewes to 31s lOd, prime ewes 24s -o 28s medium ewes 20s to 235, light ewes ’ 15s to 17s.

Fat cattle.—A small entry of 340 head of indifferent class, cows predominating. On account of it being the eve of tho holiday season buying was restricted, button an average values showed only a small drop on last week. Best beef made to 42s per 100 lb, good 37s to 40s, medium 33s to 365, inferior 30s to 32s 6d, and rough down to 255. Extra prime heavy steers made to £lB 17s 6d, prime heavy steers £l6 to £l7 10s, medium weight primo steers £l3 10s 6d to £l5 10s, light steers £7 17a Gd to £l2 10s; extra prime heifers to £l2 17s 6d, prime heifers £lO 10s to £l2 ss, medium heifers £8 15s to £lO ss, light heifers £6 to £8 10s; extra prime cows to £l2 17s 6d, prime cows £lO to £l2, medium cows £7 10s to £9 15s, aged cows £4 17s 6d to £7 ss. Vealers.—A fair-sized entry and a good sale. Twelve to 18-month > sorts made to £B, vealers £3 10s to £il 10s small sorts 25s to £2 15s. Store cattle.—A good sale of odds and ends. Best cows made £4 ‘o £5 6s. Others £2 to £3 10s, bulls £2 5s to £7. two-year steers to £7 ss. Fat pigs.—Tho entry was of medium size, and included a few lines from the Vrest Coast.
