WEDDING.

WISE—POND The marriage took place at the Kuripuni Methodist Church on Thursday of Miss Bertha daughter of Mrs J. Pond, of Homebush, and Mr Alfred John Wise, son of Mr and Mrs W. J. Wise, of Cornwall Street, Masterton. Tho bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr E. Pond wore a eharming gowr. of white georgette, with the usual wreath and veil The bridesmaids wero Miss .Grace Pond .chief, and Miss Nellie Wise, the former wearing pale blue crepe de chine and tho latter shell pink crepe do chine. The ladies carried loveiy bouquets. Mr W. F. Wise was best man, and Mt J. S. Stalker groomsman. Tho Rev. Silvester Keen officiated. The church was tastefully decorated for the occasion by tho club girls, and Miss Jones presided at the organ. After the ceremony a reception was held at Messrs Hugo and Shearer’s tea rooms, the young couple leaving later L.y car for the north on their honeymoon trip.
