LAND AT CARTERTON BOUGHT BY DEPARTMENT FOUR HOUSES TO BE ERECTED (“The Age” Special) The Railways Department has 'acquired a section of land at the northern end of Wyndham Street, Carterton, sufficient for the erection of four ings. It is understood that the paitment will shortly proceed with the erection.of three factory-cut residences which will be occupied by employees of the Department at rentals based on the rate of one day’s pay.
