Semi-final: Cooke and Phillips beat Challis and Hughes, 6/0, 11/1; Wray and Baker beat Wickens and O’Brien, 6/3, 4/6, 6/2. Final: Cooke and Phillips beat Wray and Baker, 6/3, 4/6, 7/5.
Men’s Singles.—First Round: Buruip beat Roberston, Johnston beat Kerr, Hughes beat Summers, Pinckney boat Nieholl, Challis beat Rushton, Kennedy beat Hatch, Wickcns beat Hum, Phillips beat Baker, O’Brien beat Wray, Cooke a bye. Second round: Johnston beat Burnip, Pinckney beat Hughes, Challis beat Kennedy, Phillips beat Wickcne, Cooke won by default from O’Brien. Third round: Johnston drew a bye, Pinckney beat Challis, 6/3, 6/4; Phillips beat Cooke, 6/4, 6/4. Semifinal: Johnston beat Phillips, 2/6, 6/1, 6/2; Pinckney drew a bye. Final: Pinckney beat Johnston, 6/2, 5/6, 8/6. Combined Doubles.— First round: Miss Wagg and Kennedy beat tfiss Williams and Kerr; Miss E. Large entries were received for all the handicap events. Following are the results of the semi-finals and finals:— Men’s Singles.—Johnston (2) drew a bye; Cooke (26) beat Hughes (12), 70/65. Final: Cooke beat Johnston, 70/61. Men’s Doubles.—Hughes and Challis (12) beat Wray and Marsh (30), 70/54; Burnip and Summers (21) drew a bye. Final: Hughes and Challis beat Burnip and Summers, 70/58. Ladies’ Singles. — Miss O’Donnell (20) beat Miss Wagg (27); Miss Harrup (18) won from Mrs. McEwan by default. Final: Miss O’Donnell beat Miss Harrup, 60/51. Ladies’ Doubles.—Misses Evans and Devonport (30) drew a bye; Mrs. Hunter and Miss Bradley (8) boat Misses Smallwood and Rose (16). Final: Mrs Hunter and Miss Bradley beat Misses Evans and Devonport, 60/52. Combined Doubles.—Mr. and Mrs. Skjellerup (18) drew a bye; Miss Bradley and Burridge (6) beat Miss K. Wickcns and Wickens (9), 70/64. The final has yet to be played.
